Phyang festival is celebrated every year in the month of July .It’s a major festival ofFestival features ritual Ladakhi dances in which monks dance.Phyang Festival is held in Phyang Monastery, 17km. west of Leh(Ladakh).During the festival,monks wearing colorful robes and perform dances wearing these masks projecting different God and Goddesses.Another similar festival called Phyang Tseruk is held on the 2nd and 3rd of the 6th month of Tibetan Calendar.Ladhakis gather there with colorful attire enjoy the proceedings.
