Concerns regarding media freedoms have been raised as a result of global media giants’ decision to comply with Turkish government demands to open offices in Turkey. Since the businesses will now be subject to Turkish rules, press freedom advocates fear that Turkey’s people will no longer be able to openly share their opinions.
