Dhakis are the Intregal part of Any Worship in India

The Dhakis (drummer) held the dhak (drum) on his shoulder and is beaten with two sticks.They are the intregal part of any puja (worship) in India.In West Bengal,they are basically farmers or agricultural workers or rickshaw puller or any other manual job to earn a living. But during festive season such as Durga Puja or Kali Puja (worship of Goddess Durga or Kali) the traditional drummers come to Kolkata or other cities.
