High-level Event on “Women in Power”

Julie Anne Genter, Minister for Women and Associate Minister for Transport and Health of New Zealand, speaks at the opening of the high-level event on “Women in Power”. She brought her son with her to the meeting. The event was hosted by María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, President of the seventy-third session of the General Assembly, and focused on identifying barriers that hinder women’s participation and leadership, and on the sharing of best practices that can accelerate women’s empowerment in this area on 12 March.
