Kosovars went to the polls on October 6. Snap voting is taking place after Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj resigned in July in reaction to a subpoena received from a war crimes tribunal in The Hague. The first voter in the capital, Pristina, was Central Election Commission chief Valdete Daka.
Supporters of Kosovo’s Self-Determination party celebrated in Pristina after a snap parliamentary election on October 6 appeared to unseat the ruling party.
