Belarus witnessed a third night of postelection protests on August 11 after top presidential challenger Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya left for Lithuania amid a widening government crackdown on the opposition. Riot police fired tear gas, rubber bullets, and stun grenades to disperse protesters.
